Are you coming from the airport? The Lufthansa Express Bus takes you directly to the city center in 25 minutes (stop Nordfriedhof (U 6) or Munich Central Station)
Alternatively, you can take the S-Bahn (S8) to the city center. However, due to the construction of the 2nd main line, you should expect some disruptions.
